RPP KZN Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd* (formerly Richard Pearce & Partners) have been in practice in Durban since 1992 and as specialist air conditioning design consultants, have successfully completed numerous prestigious and complex projects, some with an air conditioning value that exceeds R300m.

These include the design of well-known retail shopping malls, hotel, leisure resorts, prestigious offices, popular casinos, as well as convention centres and parking basements. RPP KZN Consulting Engineers (Pty) Ltd lead in the field of specialist air conditioning and ventilation design and have received a number of awards.

RPP KZN is highly qualified in the application of Green Building design principles in their field. We believe that careful design of each building should keep the need for air conditioning to a minimum, thereby ensuring economical operating costs and environmental impact. Green principles and design have been applied to projects long before “Green” became the buzz word. RPP KZN pride themselves in designing energy efficient HVAC systems on time and within budget. RPP KZN have so far had a 100% success rate in plan approval based on Energy Modeling compliance for SANS XA submissions over the past 18 months.

RPP KZN team is fully committed, experienced and equipped to carry out fast-track projects and have successfully completed projects against heavy pressure in short time frames whilst implementing effective project management.

RPP KZN strives to be a proactive team player, both with the professional consultant team as well as with the client/developer.

ABOUT

We believe that buildings should be designed carefully to reduce the need for air conditioning to a minimum. Air conditioning should only be added to fine tune the required comfort condition.  In this way, economical first cost and operating costs can be achieved.

 

We believe that each building should be treated on its merits and that a suitable system should be evolved to suit the particular requirements. We do not believe in applying a standard system to each building.

 

We believe in designing systems to be as simple as possible. This results in an economical first cost and low maintenance and service costs.

We believe that incorporating energy efficiency and recovery systems so as to minimise the impact on the environment is of utmost priority.
